Derrick and I decided to go look at furniture last Sunday, heading out the door the statement "we're only going to look and not buy" came out freely floating across our lips; of course you know where that statement usually goes once you reach the store, right out the window.
When we arrived at Ashley Furniture it was decided that the room of focus for this shopping escapade would be the living room. We sauntered around the store for about an hour being followed around by a sales person that would mysteriously appear out of thin air at times nearly scaring the life out of me on several occasions. We debated over a handful of designs, but finally decided on a beautiful seven piece living room set, much to the relief of the salesman since the store was less than a half hour from closing its doors for the day.
It was such an elating feeling knowing that the furniture we just purchased was for "our" home. We are finally starting to make the house feel like home. I am so excited to see how it is going to look once it is delivered.
